Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms
By accessing ownyourwebsite.app and purchasing our products, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
About Our Payment Processor
Payments on Own Your Website are processed by Paddle.com (Paddle.NET* will appear on your bank statement), who acts as our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle is responsible for collecting payment, remitting taxes, and issuing invoices. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms.
Software License
Upon purchase, you receive a single-site, non-exclusive, non-transferable perpetual license to use the purchased source code. The license uses an automated binding mechanism: it attaches to the first production domain where the software is deployed. Development environments (including localhost and *.vercel.app subdomains) are excluded from this binding. You may:
- Modify and deploy the template for one (1) end project or client website
- Use the code as a foundation for your own business website
You may NOT:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share the source code with third parties
- Use the template to create competing template products or marketplaces
- Remove or obscure any license validation mechanisms
Payments and Pricing
- All purchases are one-time payments. No subscriptions.
- Prices are listed in EUR and USD (depending on your location) and include VAT where applicable (calculated at checkout by Paddle).
- Payment is processed securely via Paddle. We do not store your card details.
- After successful payment, delivery (license key + repository access) is automated via email.
- Prices may change at any time without prior notice. Existing purchases are not affected.
Alternative Payment Methods
In the event that our primary payment processor (Paddle) is unavailable or a transaction cannot be completed, we may offer the following alternative payment options at our discretion:
SEPA Bank Transfer (EU/EEA)
We may send you an invoice with IBAN bank details via email. Upon receipt of payment, your order will be fulfilled manually within 24–48 hours. Bank transfer details are shared solely for the purpose of completing your specific transaction and are not stored beyond what is required for legal record-keeping.
Upwork Contract (US clients — exceptional cases only)
For clients based in the United States where SEPA transfer is not practical, and in the event that our primary payment processor (Paddle) is unavailable, we may arrange payment via an Upwork fixed-price contract. This applies only in exceptional circumstances and will be offered at our initiative.
In all alternative payment cases:
- You will receive the same product, license key, and delivery as with any standard purchase
- No additional fees are applied
- Your payment data is handled solely to complete your order and is not used for any other purpose
- Refund terms remain the same as outlined in our Refund Policy
To request an alternative payment method, contact us at: support@ownyourwebsite.app
Refund Policy
Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final once source code access has been granted.
We do not offer refunds if:
- You have accessed or downloaded the repository
- Your license key has been generated and delivered
- The product functioned as described on the listing page
We may consider a refund only if:
- A technical failure on our side prevented delivery within 48 hours and could not be resolved
To request a refund for valid reasons, contact support@ownyourwebsite.app within 7 days of purchase.
Note: As Paddle is our Merchant of Record, some refunds may be handled directly by Paddle in accordance with their buyer protection policies.
Intellectual Property
All templates, designs, and source code sold on Own Your Website remain the intellectual property of Own Your Website until purchased. Upon purchase, a limited license is granted as described above. Ownership of the underlying codebase is not transferred.
Limitation of Liability
Own Your Website is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of our templates. You are solely responsible for the deployment, security, and maintenance of your application once source code is delivered. Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific product.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nicosia, Cyprus.
